'You can imagine my shock': Cat missing for nearly 5 years reunited with family

Winter had gone missing in September 2015.

A North Carolina family got quite a surprise when they received a phone call from a veterinary hospital about 20 miles away saying they had their missing Siamese cat Winter.

He had been missing since September 2015, so it was a shock to a family that had given up hope about finding him.

The last clue Kim Roberts had received about her family's cat was about a year after he went missing. A man in Lumberton, North Carolina, about 200 miles away, found Winter's collar.

Roberts told WCTI-TV that she had deleted several photos of Winter about six months ago because seeing the photos upset her.

But now, "He's going to be spoiled rotten," she told the TV station.
