Wisconsin woman creates custom dolls to match children's disabilities

Amy Jandrisevits is bringing smiles to children all over the world from a sewing machine in her dining room.

Amy Jandrisevits is bringing smiles to children all over the world from a sewing machine in her dining room.

Four years ago, Jandrisevits made a custom doll for a child with an amputated leg. Since then, she's made about 400 dolls meant to look like each of their individual recipients.

"When you have a talent or you have something to offer, you’ve got to use it for someone else," Jandrisevits said. "And I think that this is for me, this is the skill I bring to the table. I bring sewing."
