Like so many others, Mollie Landman-Hunker and Brady Hunker's love story started in school. They got to know one another through choir and, by high school, their mutual crushes became apparent and the pair started dating.
Unlike other young couples, they were dealing with a unique set of circumstances. In 2016, Brady was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of cancer, Ewing's sarcoma. Between AP courses, homecoming and normal teenage activities, Brady was in and out of the hospital receiving treatment, and Mollie was by his side through it all.
At 17 and 18 years old, the couple, with support and guidance from their families, decided to get married. But this is a love story without a fairytale ending.
Sadly, Before her 20th birthday, Mollie experienced a loss most couples hope to only experience after a long life together. Brady's cancer came back, and he died less than six months after they said "I do."
