Whoa! Park visitors help rescue injured hawk trapped in water

People who were at a park noticed a hawk in distress and helped.


Passersby noticed and helped an injured, trapped hawk.

Colorado Parks and Wildlife officials said visitors were at Barr Lake State Park, located near the Denver International Airport.

A ranger responded to the call, and the red-tailed hawk was taken to Birds of Prey Foundation for treatment and care.

The foundation helps rehabilitate birds.
