During President Donald Trump's declaration that the coronavirus will be treated as a national emergency, Doug McMillon, CEO of Walmart, announced that Walmart would use their parking lots as coronavirus test centers.
"When we got the call from the White House yesterday we were eager to do our part for the country," McMillon said.
"We've been asked to make portions of our parking lot available in select locations in the beginning and scaling over time as supplies increases, so that people can experience the drive-thru experience that the president described."
Earlier during the declaration, Trump issued drive-thru testing sites to be set up to make coronavirus tests available faster. People can be tested without leaving their vehicles and get swabbed.
