Waffle House has closed more than 400 of its locations due to coronavirus concerns.
The 24-hour diner chain is famous for disaster preparedness, particularly the famed "Waffle House Index," which was created by former FEMA Administrator Craig Fugate in 2011, according to reports.
"If the Waffle House is open, everything's good," Fugate told NPR in 2016.
As of Wednesday morning, 418 locations were closed and 1,574 locations remained open, according to the Waffle House Twitter account.
"Call your local Waffle House today for a carry-out order," restaurant officials tweeted. "Visit http://locations.wafflehouse.com for specific restaurant details."
The index is green if Waffle House is serving a full menu, yellow for a limited menu and red when it's closed.
