A man trapping a gator in a trash can and a delivery driver accidentally throwing a package on the roof are some of the moments that captivated our attention this week. Take a look at this week in video.

Gator vs. trash can

Eugene Bozzi is a military veteran and a dad. While he's only been in Florida a year, the native of Philadelphia felt an alligator's power up close.

"Somebody's gotta step up and do something, we all got to look out for each other right?" he told WESH. "I was frightened when I had it in it because it was so powerful. And I didn't expect that, it was pushing out, whipping its tail around."

Denise Sparks says the 6-footer was in front of her Orange County home and she had no idea until she heard the commotion.

"I would have been gator food, I would have fainted," she said. "I said, 'What in the world is going on?' I heard boom, boom, boom."

Once the gator was in the trash can, Bozzi quickly maneuvered it down the embankment toward the retention pond pushing it over and hightailed up the hill.

"Army training kicked in, get it done, dropping it in, keep moving," he said.

Hawaii volcano erupts

Hawaii's Kilauea volcano began erupting Wednesday afternoon for the first time since May, spewing lava at Hawaii Volcanoes National Park.

Officials note that while there is no present danger to nearby residents on Hawaii's Big Island, the situation will be monitored for further escalation.

The U.S. Geological Survey's Hawaiian Volcano Observatory had raised its watch alert level earlier in the day after it recorded an increase in seismic readings.

"Increased earthquake activity and changes in the patterns of ground deformation at Kilauea's summit began occurring as of approximately noon on Sept. 29, 2021, indicating movement of magma in the subsurface," USGS said.

Magic Kingdom's new fireworks spectacular

A new nighttime spectacular is coming to Magic Kingdom for Walt Disney World's 50th anniversary.

Disney Enchantment will mix music, fireworks, enhanced lighting and immersive projection effects that will extend from Cinderella Castle down to Main Street, U.S.A.

Disney Enchantment is the second new show coming to Disney Parks. On Wednesday, Walt Disney World debuted Harmonious at Epcot.

Epcot's show includes a number of global music performers who re-interpreted some of Disney's stories and songs in their own voices.

“Harmonious is one of the largest nighttime experiences we've ever produced for a Disney park and it's going to be — the pyrotechnics, lights, lasers, water features. Everything. But what's really special about it is the music. We collaborated with over 240 artists from around the world and you're going to hear Disney music like never before in songs and over a dozen different languages. It's really going to be incredible and really special,” Walt Disney World ambassador Ali Manion said.

Delivery driver accidentally throws package onto roof

You might be wondering, how does a delivery driver accidentally throw a package onto someone's roof?

It was caught on a Ring doorbell camera in California.

The unidentified delivery driver appears to be swatting a bug away when the package slipped from his hands and onto the roof of the home where it was being delivered.

Homeowner Casey McPerry got a message from Amazon after the incident.

"Hi, this is your Amazon delivery driver. This sounds crazy but I accidentally threw a package on your roof. Do you have a ladder I can use?"
