The Royal Seal of Approval

Jalayne Sutherland, who just turned 2 on Dec. 30, dressed up as Queen Elizabeth II for Halloween.

Dressed in a blue overcoat, hat, a white wig and the queen's signature pearls, the young girl from Florence, Kentucky, posed alongside her family corgis, Rascal and Jack.

“When it comes to corgis, the Queen always comes to mind,” said the girl’s mother, Katelyn Sutherland.

Sutherland said the dogs are her daughter’s best friends, “So what better way to show their friendship and the bond they share.”

Queen Elizabeth II is well known for her love of dogs, and corgis have become an internationally recognized symbol of her reign.

After posting the photos to social media, Sutherland said she was encouraged by others to send the photos to Buckingham Palace. But Sutherland said she never expected to hear back.

The family received a letter with the Windsor Castle insignia from the Queen's lady-in-waiting, the Hon. Mary Morrison.

Snow in Florida?

Wild weather has hit parts of the country over the past week, and for those who live in Florida, it was an unusual sight.

Deputies with the sheriff’s office in Okaloosa County, Florida, captured snow falling at 3 a.m. during their shift. Deputies were in a Lowe’s Parking lot when the flakes were captured.

The sheriff's office posted the video on Facebook saying temperatures went from 75 degrees at 3 p.m. the day before to snow at 3 a.m.

USPS truck catches fire

A postal truck caught fire last weekend in an east Orange County neighborhood in Florida and now the U.S. Postal Service is investigating the incident.

No one was hurt and no packages were lost during the fire.

The video above taken by neighbor Jeff Smith shows the blaze on Dec. 31.

The postal worker pounded on Smith's door and begged him to call 911, Smith says.

Smith said the postal worker pulled bins filled with letters and small packages out of the van so they would not catch on fire.

Smith called her a hero for making sure the truck was out of the way of any neighbors’ property.

There is no word on what may have caused the mail truck fire.

18-wheeler bursts into flames

An 18-wheeler carrying sawdust overturned in Arkansas early Wednesday morning, downing a traffic light and hitting another vehicle before bursting into flames.

The accident happened around 6 a.m. After the semitruck overturned, the sawdust inside the trailer caught fire and caused an explosion, shown in a nearby surveillance video.

It took crews hours to clean the sawdust from the roadway.

Police said amazingly, only the truck driver-a 33-year-old man-was transported to a medical center with minor injuries. The semitruck slid and struck a car waiting to turn at the intersection. The 59-year-old woman driving the car was uninjured.
