It was a close call for a Texas police officer and two state troopers after they narrowly avoided being hit by an 18-wheeler on Tuesday.
"An 18-wheeler lost control on southbound I-35, crossed a median and two lanes of frontage road before coming to a rest on the side of the road," the Belton Police Department said in a Facebook post.
The Belton Police Department in Belton, Texas, said the law enforcement officers were at the scene working on another 18-wheeler crash when the accident happened.
The two accidents happened less than an hour apart.
"We are grateful nobody was seriously hurt in either incident and remind people to adjust driving speeds to match weather conditions. Lives are literally at stake," the police department said. "Also, remember when you see emergency lights move over or slow down."
