Police on Tybee Island, Georgia, are investigating the latest in a series of reported animal sacrifices on the beach.
According to Tybee Island Police, officers responded on Sept. 30 to the beach near 8th Street and discovered two roosters with their heads removed and plastic cups of blood lying in the sand.
Authorities say similar sacrifices have been discovered on the beach several times in the past. And it's just the latest in a slew of animal abuse cases on the island this year.
Back in June, Tybee police said they were looking for those responsible for dumping dead dogs on the island.
In September, police arrested a woman after they say she threw an injured puppy into the ocean. The dog later had to be euthanized due to its injuries.
