This unofficial annual event in Idaho has herded quite a following.

The asphalt of Highway 55 in Eagle, Idaho, disappears under tufts of fluff — a rancher and his herders guide about 2,600 sheep into nearby foothills to graze on grass with the help of their sheepdogs, KIVI-TV reported.

This year, a record number of people came out to witness the migration, the TV station reported.

"It was fun to watch the dogs and their herding ability. To me, that was more the show than watching the sheep go down the highway," one of the visitors said.
