Teen who survived fiery crash meets men who helped save his life

"You just are so glad there are people like that in the world and that they can affect your life the way they have."

It’s a day Sam Lachance and his family will never forget.

In January, Lachance was driving his Jeep when it crossed over the center line and hit a tractor-trailer. Two months later, he got a chance to meet the men who helped save his life.

"I don’t even know if the feeling is describable," Lachance said. "It was so incredibly overwhelming."

Marc and John Cramer captured the crash on video and drove through the flames. With the help Bank Promploy, they pulled Lachance from his car before first responders arrived.

"You can’t really think of anything at that moment, you just have to act on it, you know?" Promploy said. "I’m just glad I was there to be able to help. It’s just the right thing to do."

"How that all happened, moving on from us and first responders taking over, it really is a miracle how everything took place," Marc Cramer said.
