Fresh off a dominant performance on Super Tuesday, Joe Biden sought to ride the wave of momentum into this week as voters in six more states went to the ballot box Tuesday.

By 1 a.m. ET Biden had continued his dominance in states south of the Mason-Dixon Line, claiming wins in Mississippi and Missouri. Biden also claimed victory in Idaho and in Michigan, the biggest prize among the states voting Tuesday.

The former vice president received an endorsement from former primary rival Andrew Yang.

The Associated Press called the race for Sanders in North Dakota just before 8 a.m. Wednesday with the senator taking 53% of the votes.

Washington is still too close to call as of 12:25 p.m. ET Wednesday. Sanders edged over Biden in Washington by about 2,000 votes as of early Wednesday with about 67% of precincts reporting.

While addressing supporters in Philadelphia, Biden noted that many had “declared that this candidacy was dead” only days ago but “now we’re very much alive.” He also asked Bernie Sanders supporters to back him going forward.

Sanders had spent much of the weekend campaigning in Michigan.

The Democratic presidential hopefuls were slated to hold rallies Tuesday in Cleveland, one week ahead of Ohio's primary election. Both candidates canceled those rallies due to coronavirus concerns.

The pool has dwindled down from more than 20 to just three Democratic candidates:

  • Former Vice President Joe Biden
  • Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders
  • U.S. Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, of Hawaii

Here are the state-by-state results for Super Tuesday part II:

Idaho

Delegates at stake: 20
Polls closed at 8 p.m. (Mountain time) in some of Idaho's counties. Nine counties closed one hour later at 8 p.m. Pacific time.

In the early hours of Wednesday, Joe Biden was named the winner of Idaho. It was the former vice president's fourth win of the night.

Last year, Idaho was the nation's fastest-growing state, with close to 37,000 new residents boosting its population to nearly 1.8 million.

In the past decade, according to the U.S. Census Bureau, the deeply conservative state has seen a population jump of more than 200,000. Studies indicate many have come from liberal-leaning California, Oregon and Washington.

But are those new residents bringing blue-state politics? Or are they Republicans fleeing the coast for conservative Idaho?

An answer could soon emerge. Democrats are using a primary for the first time after picking Sen. Bernie Sanders over Hillary Clinton at a caucus in 2016. President Barack Obama handily won the Democratic contest in Idaho over Clinton in 2008.

President Trump easily won the state's GOP primary.

Michigan

Delegates at stake: 125
Most polls closed at 8 p.m. (Eastern time) Four counties are in the Central time zone and closed one hour later (8 p.m. Central time)

Former Vice President Joe Biden has won Michigan in the 2020 Democratic primary race. The win follows a strong showing during last week’s Super Tuesday, where Biden ran away with 10 of the 13 states up for grabs.

Biden’s win of the Wolverine State will help solidify his front-runner status and potentially hold off opponent Sen. Bernie Sanders.

President Trump easily won the state's GOP primary.

Mississippi

Delegates at stake: 36
Polls closed at 7 p.m. (Central time)

Former Vice President Joe Biden has won Mississippi in the 2020 Democratic primary race.

Biden took an expected victory in the Magnolia State, as polling showed he held a comfortable lead over rival Sen. Bernie Sanders.

The Biden campaign hopes to consolidate its delegate count lead over the Sanders campaign, chipping away with small state victories as well as pulling off unexpected wins in places like Texas.

President Trump easily won the state's GOP primary.

Missouri

Delegates at stake: 68
Polls closed at 7 p.m. (Central time)

Biden has won the Democratic presidential primary in Missouri.

Missouri has 68 delegates at stake.

Missouri is among the more conservative of the six states holding Democratic primaries Tuesday. All but one of the statewide elected officials are Republicans. The Democratic presidential candidate faces an uphill battle to carry Missouri in November against President Donald Trump, who won the state by 19 percentage points in 2016.

North Dakota

Delegates at stake: 14
Voting ended at 7 p.m. (Central time)

Sanders was declared the winner of North Dakota Wednesday morning, the Associated Press reported.

North Dakota is the smallest prize of the six states holding caucuses or primaries Tuesday, with only 14 pledged delegates at stake. That pales in comparison with Michigan's 125, Washington's 89 or Missouri's 68. As a result, North Dakota hasn't gotten much attention from either candidate.

Sanders won North Dakota during the 2016 primary season.

Washington

Delegates at stake: 89
Polls closed at 8 p.m. (Pacific time)

As the polls closed in Washington state, the race was too close to call.

Sanders was expected to do well in the Evergreen State, which he carried over Clinton in 2016, though one major change has happened in the state's voting process.
