Veteran program encourages outdoor adventures, friendship

The "life-changing" program encourages physical activity and bonding with fellow vets.


Every week, this group of military veterans gathers to do some sort of sport — in the winter, it's cross country skiing, but in the summer it's things like archery, biking or tennis. Whatever the sport is, the Veterans Adaptive Sports and Training program, or VAST, allows vets to connect and de-stress through physical activity and camaraderie.
