Michael and Kerri Thomas wanted to do their part for the Black Lives Matter movement while maintaining social distancing. Starting at 4 in the afternoon, they ran 1 mile every hour for 24 hours.
Their 24-hour run on July 10 raised money for My Brothers’ Keeper Alliance, a nonprofit dedicated to mentoring, networking and training young men of color to help them find jobs and go to college. Their fundraiser was so successful, they’re thinking of making it an annual event. You can watch more about their run in the video player above.
