Steve Luellen returned home from the Vietnam War in 1971 and in 1972, he became commander of the local American Legion. Since then, he's been carrying the American Flag in his town's Fourth of July parade.

Despite most events being shut down because of COVID-19, Luellen was determined to keep the tradition alive and carry Old Glory through the town.
