A football player shares his tradition on the field of how he's been helping a little girl — shown by colorful nail paint on his fingers.
Quarterback Elliott Brown proudly displays makeovers given to him each week by a 6-year-old girl, McKinley Blue.
McKinley was nearly paralyzed in a car crash in May 2018, and Brown, a family friend, visited her in the hospital.
"God put a miracle in our life by putting her and her family in our life," Brown said.
McKinley had to relearn how to walk and talk, and eventually, it was recommended nail painting could help with her fine motor skills.
The Elkhorn South High School player has carried out the pregame tradition every Thursday night for two seasons.
