Soldiers deliver surprise gifts to hospitalized children

"It makes me feel like they care. And I appreciate everything they do for us."

Soldiers from the Fort Knox military base in Kentucky visited a hospital in Louisville, with the goal of bringing smiles to the faces of sick and injured children.

The soldiers brought gifts like games, toys and stuffed animals for the kids as a surprise. One girl who recently had her appendix removed was honored for her bravery with a military challenge coin. For one of the soldiers, who is originally from Louisville, the visit to his hometown's hospital was made even more special.
