‘Reunited with Buds': Clydesdales team up with puppy in Budweiser ad that tugs at your heartstrings

The iconic Clydesdales and their adorable Labrador retriever puppy friend are back.

The Anheuser-Busch Clydesdales are an American icon, and they’re starring in a new commercial amid the coronavirus pandemic.

As social distancing restrictions in some parts of the country begin to relax, Budweiser has released a new ad entitled “Reunited with Buds” featuring a Clydesdale and an adorable Labrador retriever puppy.

The ad celebrates buds across the country getting back together.

The new ad comes on the heels of Budweiser’s “Together we will run again” commercial that showed a Clydesdale trotting and then running through different parts of the country, including the Gateway Arch in St. Louis and the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C.

The new video follows the parallel journeys of a Clydesdale and a puppy running toward each other and is set to Queen’s “Don’t Stop Me Now.” They eventually meet again and are "having a good time" again.

The video was released Tuesday and is already going viral across the country.

The commercial pulls from archived footage of previous Budweiser ads to abide by social distancing guidelines during production. And in the spot, Budweiser encourages consumers to follow guidelines set by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, their local governments and individual establishments when reuniting with friends.

Warm Springs Ranch near Boonville, Missouri, is home to the Budweiser Clydesdales. The ranch is home to more than 70 Clydesdales ranging from foals to stallions.
