Awkward moments during awards season is very common during a normal year, but even more so in the time of COVID-19. Due to social distancing restrictions, the pandemic made hosting ceremonies in-person a much more challenging task — meaning a season full of delayed Zoom acceptance speeches, tech problems, and glitchy celebrity interactions.
Although this year's Oscars tried to have as many people attend in person as possible for a sense of normality, there were still some moments that didn't quite go to plan. Here, we round up the most awkward moments from the 2021 Oscars.

When Regina King got on the stage to present the first award of the night, she tripped ever so slightly. King wore custom Louis Vuitton to Sunday night's award ceremony, which reportedly took 140 hours to make and was embroidered with more than 62,000 sequins and 4,000 crystals.
