A Georgia police officer recently pulled over a car with a tag written in ink, but there was something else that caught his attention.

In the back seat, there were twin 1-year-olds sitting in frayed car seats.

"Neither of the harnesses were showing," said Savannah Police Cpl. Steve Bland.

The 21-year-old mother explained to officers that she was a recent car theft victim and couldn't afford to buy new car seats.

"I just looked at it, and I told her I’d pay for her seats. I asked her where the Walmart was. They were kind of shocked," Bland said.
