A town in Vermont was not kidding around when they elected a goat to serve in office.
Lincoln the 2-year-old Nubian goat started off by signing documents in her own way: by hoof.
It all started when the town wanted to raise money for a new playground. Residents could submit their pet’s name to be the first pet mayor by donating $5.
Some might find it wacky, but Fair Haven is excited to show Lincoln off in parades and festivals.
Lincoln's first day marks the start of a new chapter for the small town, all thanks to the kid now serving as mayor.
