Middle school students honor classmate diagnosed with cancer by holding toy drive

Mississippi middle school students did the sweetest thing to honor a classmate diagnosed with cancer.

Middle school students paid tribute to a classmate diagnosed with cancer by holding a toy drive.

Josh McIntosh is a patient at Batson's Children’s Hospital, and his classmates wanted to show how much they cared.

Students collected dolls, action figures and other popular toys that will go to children staying at the hospital.

“We come together as a big family, and it helps us think that we make a bigger impact than just one of us can do, or two, if we come together," said student Peyton Davis.

Hospital representatives say the toys are desperately needed and much appreciated.
