Ride-sharing apps allow you to find someone to drive you around, rental apps allow you to find homes to rent while on vacation, and now a new app is allowing homeowners to rent access to their backyard swimming pools.

The operator of a startup allows private homeowners to rent their swimming pools by the hour.

Swimply.com is an online startup that has more than 13,000 pools listed and gets nearly 100 requests a day from people wanting their pools offered on the platform.

The website has a few dozen pools live on its platform in Massachusetts, with dozens of others pending approval.

It's not exactly cheap though. Hourly rates range from as low as $45 to as high as $120, according to a search we did for homes in eastern Massachusetts.
