Man helping feed homeless with food truck among the people who inspired us the week

He can relate to the homeless people he helps feed because he used to be homeless himself.

Here are the stories that inspired us this week:

A man who was once homeless is helping feed others in need on a Kentucky food truck.

"I just thank God every day that I found my purpose in life," Johnny Goode said.

Meanwhile, a Florida woman is glad to have the ashes of her child back home again. Vanessa Reid's 2-year-old daughter accidentally left a teddy bear containing the ashes at a restaurant.

And there's a Wisconsin man who fell in love with making chocolate 20 years ago while he was in culinary arts school. Joel Bernhard, who is blind, now sells his sweets nationwide.
