A couple in California is going "to infinity and beyond," to spread smiles in their neighborhood during the coronavirus pandemic.

"Toy Story" figurines sit on Sue and Stephen Stewart's rooftop.

The couple told KGTV every other week is a different scene from the movie. Sometimes new characters are added.

"We didn't have the aliens so we got the aliens and moved them one time. We moved the position of Buzz and Woody and got Little Bo-Peep in," Sue Stewart said.

The figurines attract both kids and adults.

"I thought a few people would notice, but no, they now come by constantly," Sue said.

Sue explains Stephen saw something similar on the Internet and wanted to help bring joy to the area as they worked from home during the pandemic, KGTV reports.

"I went to get the mail and these people go, 'That is the best thing ever.' You have no idea what an impact he's making. He's making people smile," Sue said of her husband's efforts.

The couple uses a fishing line to move the figurines safely.

They told KGTV that they chose "Toy Story" for it's memorable message that we're all in this together.
