A large snake was reportedly seen in a tree along a Pennsylvania trail and now, park rangers are searching for it.


A large snake was reportedly seen on a Pennsylvania trail and park rangers were searching for it Wednesday.

Police officers in Pittsburgh were also on the lookout for the snake in Frick Park.

"A witness stated the snake did not appear to be a native species. It is not yet verified as to what type of snake it is," the city's Public Safety Department said Wednesday.

Pittsburgh Public Safety tweeted the photo that was sent with the initial report of the snake.

Public Safety has issued a warning for anyone who sees a large snake to stay away from it and notify police.
