'It was just real loud': Homeowner recalls moment tornado touches down in Oklahoma

"The wind broke out in the bedroom, lights went out, and it was just real loud."

A tornado touched down overnight near Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, causing devastating destruction.

Sister station KOCO-TV spoke to a homeowner whose property sustained significant damage.

"[I] was just lying in bed, and the wind started blowing and it was raining and my wife commented on how strong the wind was blowing," Eddie Menefee said. "About that time, it got real loud, I told her to get off the bed and get on the floor. The window broke out in the bedroom, the lights went out, and it was just real loud. I told her to find a light and check on the boys."

Menefee, his wife and their grandchildren were inside the home at the time. No one was injured. His shop and vehicles inside were damaged.
