Iowa state rep. breaking down barriers by bringing newborn to Capitol building

Megan Jones has a lot of titles. She’s an Iowa state representative and a daughter but one of her most important roles is being a mother.

Juggling work with motherhood duties isn’t always a smooth ride.

She travels three hours every day with her son, Archie, in tow to the state Capitol building.

Megan is the only legislator with an infant and a laptop during debates. She’s a mom in multitasking mode.

Taking care of her constituents and her family - at the same time. But the chamber floor loves having a new face around.

Archie isn’t the first baby who has tagged along with Jones. She brought her daughter there when she was an infant, as well.
