A 96-year-old woman in Shelby, Iowa, has counted 10 million pop tabs over the past 26 years.

The Ronald McDonald House of Omaha honored Aletha Buck, welcoming her to the Thanks a Million Club.

Sister station KETV reports the Ronald McDonald House of Omaha collects tabs from cans of soda, beer, and food for its recycling program that keeps the lights on at its facility—which houses families seeking treatment at metro hospitals.

"When you see the kids here, it does something to you," Aletha said.

The Ronald McDonald House of Omaha is Nebraska's lone facility, and you can learn more about supporting them with pop tabs by visiting their website.
