Every two years, 6-year-old Caleigh Pesina gets her hair cut for a special cause.
When she was 4, Caleigh decided she wanted to donate her hair to Wigs for Kids. Her mom, Nicole Pesina, said she made up her mind after seeing a commercial for St. Jude’s.
"She just told me, ‘I want to go cut my hair to donate it again,'" Nicole Pesina said. "And then after that is when we talked about it, and she said she wants to grow it every two years, and in February, she wants to cut it."
Revive Hair Salon, where Caleigh gets her hair cut, stepped in to help the cause. They now offer “The Caleigh” haircut, and it’s free to anyone who comes in to donate their hair.
"She wants to make little girls feel pretty again," Nicole Pesina said. "The ones that can’t grow their own hair, she wants them to feel pretty again and feel good about themselves."
