A Massachusetts landmark is adding a new twist to outdoor dining.

Thursday night, the Kowloon in Saugus, north of Boston, kicked off its car-hop service with a concert featuring The Platters and Eric Grant.

Guests wanting a meal had the option of eating from their cars or setting up tables and chairs in spots spaced out in the restaurant’s parking lot.

Kowloon’s new drive-in movie experience will kick off on June 30 with the screening of “E.T.”

Customers at the drive-in movie, turf area and car hop venue can order from a full menu and also purchase alcohol.

Kowloon announced that movies will be featured on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays spanning the entire summer.

The Wong family is still working on a complete movie lineup and the schedule will be announced soon.
