Due to an IRS glitch, some people haven't received their child tax credit payment for the month of August.
The IRS says millions of payments have been delayed due to a glitch in the system causing checks to be mailed instead of directly deposited into accounts.
Another problem causing delays is people providing wrong banking information or mailing addresses.
How can you track your money?
Due to the huge backlog, calling the IRS isn’t recommended. You can track your payment using the online portal, found here. Or head to IRS.gov, then click "Get Details on Advance Child Tax Credit," followed by "Manage Payments."
