Students get experience and paychecks through this hospital program.
The Student Success Jobs Program connects the high schoolers with mentors at Harvard-affiliated Brigham and Women’s Hospital, where they have paid internships.
The program helps them explore new careers in medicine and science.
"They work in labs. They work with our scientists and our doctors," said Dr. Ron Walls, Brigham Health's executive vice president and chief operating officer. "I think it just changes their perspective on what's possible for them."
