Deciding where to go to college is a big deal.

For Julien Simms, the Chicago high school senior has the choice between 25 schools that have accepted him — adding up to more than $1 million in scholarship offers.

Simms told WLS-TV that he's looking for a good business program where he can continue to expand on his own casual wear clothing brand.

"Just be chill. That's the motto. Just chill. This idea just started during the pandemic," Simms told the TV station. "So the pandemic helped me find out more about myself regarding mental health and to stay active creating this clothing brand. This is all just for learning and to give back to the community."

The 18-year-old credits his mother, Tonett Jones, who raised him on her own, with keeping him on the straight and narrow.

"I had to realize the odds are against me, along with others in my community who look like me," Simms said.
