High school football player who beat cancer trying to stay optimistic during COVID-19

The teen says he looks forward to having one more chance on the field.

High school football player Tyler Jenson is a cancer survivor.

During his sophomore year at La Cueva High School in Albuquerque, New Mexico, he was diagnosed with Stage 3 Hodgkin's Lymphoma.

He beat it and came back to have an amazing season on the football field and in track.

Now, for his senior year, he transferred schools and was looking forward to another winning season. But the 2020 season has been delayed because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

"I know one way or the other we're going to be able to play, even if it's for a short season. I mean senior year, I'm just trying to get on the field one last time to show them what I'm about and hopeful to be able to play next year in college," Jenson said.
