A mystery jogger who saved four family pets from a house fire in California has been identified.

The family was able to track down Paul Murphy and thank him for his good deed.

The Polito family was out of town when the fire got started and it was all caught on their Ring camera.

Murphy was running by when he saw smoke coming out of the home.

He used the "smart doorbell" to get ahold of the homeowners and they gave him the code to get inside and rescue their two dachshunds, rabbit and cat.

The Politos say if Murphy hadn't been there they would have lost everything.
Before the family could thank the good Samaritan, he took off.
