A new warning has been sent to Android users about the Microsoft Teams app from Google.

Reports say a bug was discovered in the Android version of the Microsoft Teams app in December that could block calls to 911. Google posted to a Reddit thread about the issue, saying it has investigated the issue and found it should only affect a small number of devices with the Microsoft Teams app installed when the user is not logged in.

The issue is caused by an unintended interaction between the app and the phone's operating system.

A full fix is on its way to Android phones, but if you want to make sure your phone won’t be affected, Google says you can update your Microsoft Teams app to make sure you’re running the latest version of it. If you've updated your app (or have auto-updates turned on) since Dec. 10, 2021, you're safe from the bug.
