Lottery lightning struck twice for a Michigan man last week.

The 24-year-old, who chose to remains anonymous, already had won $5,000 on a Michigan Lottery Super Bonus Cashword scratch-off ticket. But that was chump change compared to what he uncovered later.

“I was still feeling pretty lucky,” he told the Michigan Lottery. “Later that night, I bought a couple Ruby Mine tickets and hit $1 million.”

The man took the lottery's lump sum payment of $634,000. He told lottery officials he plans to buy a new home and car and share some of the winnings with his parents.

The $10 Ruby Mine game launched in Michigan in August, and players have won more than $16 million since then. More than $31 million in prizes are still out there, lottery officials said, including two more $1 million prizes.
