The last few weeks have been tough for Presley Ponce.
Ponce, 13, underwent three surgeries in 10 after being diagnosed with ocular melanoma, a type of eye cancer, forcing him to miss time at school.
Fortunately, his classmates at Florence Chapel Middle School have his back.
While he was away, they sent him Christmas, along with a video to show their support.
When Presley returned to school wearing a pair of sunglasses to protect his eyes, his classmates joined him, wearing sunglasses of their own.
"Everyone had my back," Ponce said.
"(Everyone) made him feel that he was just like he was when he left," teacher Andrea Howard said. "He was a part of us, part of our class and community, and that we were going to help him every step of the way."
