Deaf man hears daughter's voice for first time thanks to cochlear implant

A man with congenital hearing loss hasn't been able to hear sounds since he was 5 years old, until now.

David Alianiello's congenital hearing loss left him deaf when he was just 5 years old. Now, at 34, he was inspired to try out a cochlear implant so that he could hear his young daughter sing and speak to him. With his wedding date coming up and a new baby on the way, this father is readier than ever to start hearing the world around him.
