CSI-themed classroom teaches students important problem-solving skills

With the help of a creatively-designed classroom experience, these students could be the forensic investigators of the future.


A select group of fifth- and sixth-graders at an elementary school in Omaha, Nebraska, are taking a forensic science class to develop their critical thinking skills.

The class is part of the High Ability Learners program, where students are given a chance to learn in a creative environment that caters to an advanced learning ability. In this CSI-themed classroom, students can study evidence from mock crime scenes and solve mysteries using logic and problem-solving skills.
