College program hopes to inspire next generation of teachers

Some high school students in Maryland have their sights set on a career as a teacher.

Some high school students in Maryland have their sights set on a career as a teacher. That’s how they’ve landed a spot at the Teacher Scholars Summer Institute on the campus of Towson University.

"I love to teach, and I thought it would be a great opportunity," student Asia Lee said.

The high school students got the chance to try out their skills alongside students currently enrolled at the University Child Care Center.

Besides the experience, the students also picked up high school and college credit for their week of learning.
