Christmas Caravan volunteers on mission to help more than 1,000 homeless people

This woman's garage is full of toys, clothes, food and other items -- but she's definitely not a hoarder.

This woman's garage is full to the brim with clothes, toys, food and other items. But none of them belong to her -- they are all donations she hopes to hand out to at least 1,000 homeless people this holiday season.

Rhonda Winter began hosting her Christmas Caravan charity project, which distributes donations to the homeless through a network of volunteers, three years ago. This year, 60 volunteers plan to load up 35 cars with donated items on Christmas Eve. Then, they will hand the items out to less fortunate people across 10 different homeless camps and shelters.

Winter says being a part of the Christmas Caravan has been a life-changing, humbling experience.
