Boy with rare blood disease's wish to become deputy for a day granted

"He’s so happy, so excited. I can see him and can understand that he’s so happy."

Four-year-old Omar’s wish of becoming a deputy for a day is coming true thanks to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office and the Make-A-Wish foundation.

Omar was diagnosed with a rare blood disease when he was 6 months old. His family came to the U.S. from Pakistan to get him the weekly blood transfusions he needs to survive.

On this day, he can forget about all that.
