Ten-year-old Nakota Kelly chillingly predicted his own death before he was taken to his father to spend a court-ordered weekend with him, according to reports.

"Oh, I'm dead," the boy told his mom, according to an affidavit. "Don't expect me to come home. My dad is going to kill me."

The mother filed a complaint to the Indiana Department of Child Services on July 14 reporting her son's comments, The Indianapolis Star reported.

Authorities believe Nakota was killed on July 18, People reported.

She contacted a case worker on Sunday after receiving a disturbing text message from the boy's father, 37-year-old Anthony Dibiah.

"Sometimes I hear voices. My son is in Heaven," the text read, the Star reported.

Police said Dibiah confessed to suffocating his son to death, and authorities are still searching for his remains, WXIN-TV reported.

"Obviously my heart goes out to that mother," Lanae Harden, a family law attorney, told the TV station. "It's a mother's... a parent's worst nightmare. And she took all the proper steps."
