Have you ever wanted to send a birthday or holiday gift to someone but you need to ask for their address? It kind of ruins the surprise, doesn't it?
Amazon has a new feature that will let you send a present to someone without having to know their address.
When you find what you want to send on the app, you click the "add a gift receipt" option. From there, you can enter the recipients phone number or email address. Amazon will then send your friend a text or email saying they've gotten a gift!
Your friend will be able to virtually open the present, revealing with it is. They can accept the gift, providing their address and it will be sent over. If your friend doesn't want the present, they can have the option to exchange it for an Amazon gift card of equal value. (But guess what, you won’t be notified that they exchanged it…just like in real life!)
If your friend doesn’t open up the gift after a few days, it will expire and you get your money back. The feature is available for all Prime members.
