An all-star volunteer and running coach is inspiring kids one stride at a time.

Fritz Voltaire, known as Mr. Fritz and Coach V, helps nearly 100 elementary students at one school get the confidence to participate in cross-country running.

Voltaire says he used to be the slowest kid on his high school team, so he knows how important it is to encourage runners of all levels.

"My reward is getting the high-fives from the kids," he says. "My reward is going out in the community and hearing 'Hey Mr. Fritz, thank you.'"

The elementary running program has grown significantly over the years, and helping them run isn't the finish line for Coach V. It's more about boosting their confidence so they learn to overcome boundaries.
