A Texas man was away from his family for 124 days as he fought COVID-19 at St. Luke's Hospital.

Since late March, 35-year-old Michael Saucedo went into cardiac arrest twice and suffered a minor stroke, KTRK-TV reported.

"He was placed on life support. He was on a machine that was breathing for him,"
Dr. Monte Orahood, the hospital's chief medical officer, told the TV station.

His 7-year-old old daughter visited him through a window and told him that she loved him.

"We didn't know what to think," said Andrew Sanchez, Saucedo's brother-in-law. "It was a tearjerker, you know."

It was 18 weeks to the day that he was released from the hospital.
