In the last 18 years, Jerren Harrison has been through 36 surgeries.
“It’s a great feeling because I know that this is coming to the end. This is going to be my 36th surgery, so this is coming to the end. I've been doing this since I was 2 years old," Jerren said.
At just 6 weeks old, doctors diagnosed Jerren with bacterial meningitis. It attacked his bones and growth plates so doctors had to force his bones to grow. That meant inserting rods and using special mechanics to expand them, inches at a time.
Now standing nearly 6-feet-tall, he's ready for his final surgery.
